On the 26th July the evening dedicated to the end of the duty in Riga and assignment to the new placement of Uhrs Buehler, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland, and Daniel Grzenda, Deputy Head of mission of the Embassy of the UK took place.

On the 10th of July, the Ambassador of Israel in Latvia Mrs. Hagit Ben Yaakov held a reception on the occasion of the departure of the Deputy Chief of Mission and Counsellor Liat Wexelman

On the occasion of the celebration of Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, which is officially observed on the 3rd July, Ambassador of Belarus in Latvia, H.E. Mr. Aleksandr Gerasimenko held a reception on 2nd July 2012.

On the 23 of June on the threshold of Ligo, the Diplomatic Club participated in yearly golf competition among club members and their families.

Happy news from the family of Daniel Grzenda (Embassy of the UK). On June 4, 2012 his daughter was born! Her name is Isabelle. We wish allthe best to Daniel’s family!

June 12 at the residence of the Ambassador of Russia in Latvia, Jurmala, a reception to celebrate the Day of Russia.

May 17 Norwegian Embassy in Latvia held a reception on the occasion of the Norwegian Constitution Day.

On the 16th May the Club held an annual Bowling Tournament.

On May, 10 the Ambassador of Poland held a reception on the occasion of the Polish National Day — 3rd of May Constitution Day and World Day of Polish Commune’s.

On the 8th May the Embassy of Israel in Riga held a reception to mark the 64th Anniversary of Independence of the state of Israel. The Ambassador of Israel in Latvia Mrs. Hagit Ben Yaakov delivered a speech at the reception.

On the 22nd March the Club hosted a meeting about the economic potential of the Free port of Riga, „LDz Cargo“ subsidiary „LDz Cargo Logistika“ , and the experience of the Netherlands’s ports.
