Каких только способов лечения депрессии не предлагает современная медицина.

Творчески подошли к этому вопросу и ученые из Университета Аризоны — они нашли оригинальный способ повышать настроение пациентов.

Депрессивного человека помещают в специальную палатку, где с помощью несложной конструкции из встроенных нагревательных элементов и серебряных отражателей поднимают температуру воздуха до 38 градусов. Тело пациента находится полностью в домике, а голова — снаружи.

Под воздействием гипертермии у человека начинают вырабатываться бета-эндорфины — особые химические соединения в мозге, отвечающие за позитивный настрой. Может, со стороны это выглядит и смешно, но, заверяют ученые, действенно: достаточно двухчасового сеанса, и у страдающего депрессией заметно улучшается эмоциональный фон на несколько недель.
