В официальном представительстве авто производителя SKODA в Латвии Karlo Motors, Посол Чехии в Латвии Павол Шепелак, приглашенные гости и члены Дипломатического клуба приняли участие в открытии выставки, посвященной 120-летию авто гиганта.

На встрече гости познакомились с модельным рядом автомобилей, представленных на рынке Латвии.

В 1895 году Вацлав Лаурин и Вацлав Клемент начали производство велосипедов под патриотическим названием Slavia. В 1899 году, компания Laurin & Klement Co. приступила к производству мотоциклов, а к 1905 году перешла к производству автомобилей.

В 1925 году произошло объединение с компанией Pilsen ŠKODA Co., что положило конец торговой марке Laurin & Klement.

Совместное предприятие фирм ŠKODA и Volkswagen появилось в апреле 1991 года и стало четвертым брендом Volkswagen Group наравне с VW, AUDI и SEAT.

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
