Посол Королевства Бельгии Хуго Брауверс (Hugo Brauwers) 19 ноября провёл прием в Риге по случаю Дня Короля, которые отмечался в стране 15 ноября. Прием прошел в залах Музея истории медицины имени Паула Страдыня, в помещения которого находилось посольство Бельгии в начале становления дипломатических отношений между странами.

Посол Бельгии господин Хуго Брауверс приветствовал гостей и поздравил с праздником Дня Короля Бельгии (King’s Day), пожелал успехов и процветания народам Латвии и Бельгии.

Праздник 15 ноября День Короля Бельгии был учрежден бельгийским королем Леопольдом II и отмечается с 1866 г. Этот день символизирует единство бельгийской нации во всем ее политическом, культурном и языковом многообразии.

Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
