С 5 по 8 октября 2007 в шведском г.Боллнас состоялся Чемпионат Северных стран (Швеция, Норвегия, Исландия, Дания, Финляндия) по плаванию в категории MASTERS где также участвовали спортсмены из Испании, Эстонии, Латвии.
Более 200 спортсменов в течение 3 дней выходили на старт водных дорожек.
Достойно представляли нашу страну на этих соревнованиях спортсмены Виктор Комаров и Эдгар Озолиньш, установившие 5 рекордов Латвии в возрастной группе 45-49 лет и завоевали вдвоем 2 золотые и 4 серебряные медали.

Особенно хочется отметить результаты Эдгара Озолиньша на 50 метров — 0:25,53 и 100 метров вольным стилем -0:55,94 ; 200 и 400 м вольный стиль 2:06,15 и 4:47,48.
На его счету 4 рекорда Латвии.
