Optimal path to further education
Members of Diplomatic Economic Club (DEC) attended the International Education Fair „Skola 2016“ and the Latvian Book Fair 2016 held at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre from 26–28 February.
The International Education Fair «Skola 2016» offered to young people and adults objective information on opportunities to study in Latvia or abroad thus helping to choose the optimal path towards their future careers.
Visitors could get information directly from the representatives of educational institutions and students. Direct communication was both interesting and easy.
Study programmes and training courses were presented by more than 140 educational institutions from Latvia, the United States, France, Canada, Russia, the Netherlands and Germany.
Club members visited the booth of the University of Latvia (LU) and gained an insight into study opportunities in all 13 faculties.
Riga Stradins University (RSU) provided an opportunity to try out medical simulators.
Stockholm School of Economics in Riga presented the study programme «Economics and Business» with English as the language of instruction.
Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration (RISEBA) presented the study programme in Audiovisual Media Arts. Taking the «Business Meets Art» quiz, visitors could find out which field of study – Business, Media or Architecture – is the most appropriate for future students thus helping select the best fit study programme.
«Latvian Book Fair 2016» presented novelties in the printing and publishing industry and an extended programme of events – author readings, meetings with famous authors.
DEC members conveys their gratitude to Valts Jirgensons, the project manager of „Skola 2016“, and Oskars Zaļkalniņš, the project manager of «Latvian Book Fair 2016» for the opportunity to visit both events and get an insight into participant offers.
