Diplomatic Club members participated in a business seminar, Latvia-Uzbekistan attended by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of Uzbekistan N. Yuldashev, the entrepreneurs of the two countries
At the end of the seminar, several bilateral treaties were signed between the CCI of Uzbekistan and the Latvian investment and Development Agency and other participants in the negotiations.

n Riga, in the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Agriculture hosted Latvian-Uzbek business seminar, where about 300 business representatives from both countries. Interestingly, Latvia ranked second among EU countries that trade with Uzbekistan.
Nigmatil Yuldashev in his greeting to the participants of the Business Forum said that Uzbekistan considers Latvia the proven and reliable partner for all 25 years of bilateral relations. He also noted that Latvia ranked second among the countries of the European Union, trade with Uzbekistan. Foreign trade turnover between the two countries in 2016 totaled 300 million. dollars. In Uzbekistan employs 47 enterprises with Latvian investments, including 12 with 100% Latvian capital. Among other destinations, the Chairman of the Senate underscored the interest in cooperation in the field of tourism.
Member of the Presidium of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia Gunārs Kūtris also talked about the importance of the further development of trade and economic relations, showing a good tendency of growth. He emphasized that the development of transport of Latvia is not possible without Uzbekistan, and also noted the importance of communications development in the agricultural sector.
The Director of the investment and development agency of Latvia (LIAA) Andris Ozols drew attention to the fact that there is a growing export-import not only goods, but also services. So, for a short time tourist services between the countries doubled. He also said that Latvia 369 enterprises active with Uzbek capital. In addition to trade, the very important area of cooperation for trade in medicines of Latvia in Uzbekistan, where up to 70% of medicine in Latvia.
