Meeting with the Ambassador of Moldova

On the 11th of October, there was a meeting with the Ambassador of Moldova to Latvia Eugen Revenco in the Diplomatic Economic Club.

Во During the meeting, the Ambassador gave a presentation on the history and formation of statehood of the Republic of Moldova.

Overview of banking sector, the ways of economic development of modern age, achievements and perspective industries, the business relations between entrepreneurs of Latvia and Moldova, as well as other topics were mentioned during the meeting

The Ambassador mentioned the cooperation of Latvia, Moldova and EU countries regarding the safety of payments. In addition, there were covered the aspects of economic development of Moldova in the enhacement of energy industry, the development of free economic zones.

As regards the winemaking, there were stated grape varities to be cultivated in the country. As example, the Ambassador mentioned Feteasca, which makes wine to be light and have fruity smell. The Ambassador noticed that it is very popular in Moldova, to mix the grape varities, which is called «blending».
The members of the club were granted with the great opportunity to taste moldovian wines and to assess its uniqueness and high quality.

Vice-president of the Club Dmitry Glebov thanked the Ambassador of Moldova for the very intetesting meeting and presented him a book about Latvia.
