Посол Испании в Латвии госпожа Susana Cámara Angulo 15 октября провела прием, по случаю Национального дня Испании, который отмечается в стране 12 октября
Государственные гимны Испании и Латвии были исполнены «а капелла» игрой на гитаре.

Посол поздравила гостей с праздником и пожелала народам Испании и Латвии благополучия и процветания.

12 октября в Испании отмечают Национальный праздник Испании — День Испанидад (Día de la Hispanidad / Hispanic Day). Этот праздник посвящен всему испанскому: испанской культуре, испанскому языку, испанскому самосознанию, испанскому народу, испанской истории.

Праздник приурочен к дню 12 октября, когда в 1492 году испанские моряки во главе с Христофором Колумбом причалили к берегам Нового Света, открыв миру новый континент.
Этот праздник стал официальным национальным праздником в Испании в 1918 году.

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
