2 сентября 2022 года прошёл прием Посольства Швейцарии в Латвии по случаю Национального праздника страны, который отмечается 1 августа.

Посол Швейцарии Мартин Мишлет (Martin Michelet) с супругой Соня Мишлет (Sonia Michelet) принимали гостей в резиденции Посла.

Посол поздравил гостей с праздником, пожелал мира, успехов и благополучия народам Латвии и Швейцарии.

1 августа швейцарцы отмечают Национальный праздник Швейцарии. Начиная с 1891 года, в этот день по всей Швейцарии празднуется годовщина со дня основания государства. Так как швейцарцы любят трудиться, то выходным днем праздник стал только начиная с 1994 года!
Общей чертой праздника являются множество флагов Швейцарии, кантонов и коммун как на общественных зданиях, так и на частных домах, которые также были представлены на приеме.

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
