The presentation of the New Concept of the Club development took place on February 5, 2009 presented by Board on the basis of interrogation of the majority of Club Members.
The Club vice-president Barbaros Tuna Erdem represented the program. The main direction of Club activity is expansion of mutually beneficial trade and economic relations between entrepreneurs of Latvia and other countries.

The Concept was approved in its entirety by Members of Club. The other point of the Club meeting
The next point of meeting was the issue of Board decisions about the reorganization that was approved by Club Members and emphasized the importance of observance of Regulations about Club.

Pavel Bredikhin, Second Secretary Embassy of the Russian Federation in Riga, was accepted as a new Member of the Club.

The Guests at Club meeting: Sergey G. Kanaev, the Director of Representation of Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing of the Government of Dubai in Baltic States, Gunnar Kumm, the entrepreneur from Sweden and Anthony J. Caruana, Head of Representation of Malta Tourism Authority

Teimuraz Janjali, Economic Counselor Embassy of Georgia, was invited to the Club meeting.

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
