16 ноября в Риге, в Доме Латвийского общества, прошел прием Посольства Республики Польши в Латвии по случаю празднования Дня независимости страны.
К гостям с приветствием обратился Посол Республики Польша в Латвии господин Мацией Климчак (Maciej Klimczak)
День независимости в Польше (Independence Day in Poland) отмечается ежегодно 11 ноября в честь провозглашения независимости государства от господства Германии, России и Австрии в 1918 году.
11 ноября 1918 года завершилась первая мировая война, и после 125 лет раздела Польши между Пруссией, Россией и Австрией, страна опять появилась на карте Европы.
На приеме с концертом выступил известный польский исполнитель на фортепиано Карол Радзивонович (Karol Radziwonowicz) который представил чудесное исполнение произведений Фредерика Шопена (Fryderyk Chopin), Карола Шимановского (Karol Szymanowski) и других известных польских композиторов.

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
