2010.g. 2.jūnijā Latviešu Biedrības namā notika Itālijas vēstniecības pieņemšana Latvijā sakarā ar nacionāliem svētkiem — Itālijas Republikas proklamēšanas dienu.
Itālijas Republikas vēstnieks Latvijā Frančesko Pučio (Francesco Puccio) apsveica viesus
2.jūnijā itālieši piemin svarīgus notikumus un atzīmē Itālijas Republikas Dienu (Republic Day in Italy). Šī diena nozīmē jaunās vasts valdības sistēmas dzimšanu.

1946.gada 2.jūnijā Itālijas iedzīvotāji (pirmo reizi ieskaitot arī sievites) atnāca uz vēlēšanām, lai balsotu par Republiku, kas nozīmēja atvadīties no monarhijas uz visiem laikiem un pāriet uz republikas valdīšanas formu un ievēlēt asamblejas biedrus, kuriem lika izveidot jauno Itālijas Konstitūciju, pieņemto 1948.gadā.
2.jūnijs ir valsts svētki, pamatojoties uz likumu par Nacionāliem svētkiem, spēkā no 2000.gada 20.novembra. Sākot ar šo datumu Itālija izmainīja valdīšanas tipu no monarhijas uz republikas

Notika koncerts «Lielā mūzika Itālijas kino», kurā uzstājās Itālijas populārie atskaņotāji: Mauro Maur (Mauro Maur) — trompete, Fransuāza de Klossi (Francoise de Clossey) — klavieres. Skanēja burvīgās slaveno itāļu kompanistu Enio Marikone, Paola Pinčioni, Nina Rota melodijas.

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
