Christmas and New Year 2014 celebrations took place in the Diplomatic Economic Club. The DEC members got acquainted with the history and traditions of the holidays, as well as participated in decorating Christmas tree.

During the celebrations, the DEC members shared with traditions of how to celebrate New Year in Latvia and their countries, as well as got acquainted with customs, food, traditional presents and souvenirs, recipes and various New Year jokes.

The President of the DEC Dawid Tomaszewski has congratulated everyone with Christmas and New Year. He wished happiness, strengthening friendship and conscientiousness, successful development of economics and business, prosperity to everyone and each country.

During the celebrations, the DEC embers participated in contests and games, where everyone could try himself. The reward was the strengthening of friendship and common understanding among peoples of different countries.

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
