Diplomatic Economic Club held a meeting discussing the development and history of financial, monetary systems in building the economic relations in the world. During the evening members played a quiz about economics and finance.
The word economics from Greek is translated as an «Art of managing the household»
Economists usually say: «It is an art of selling one potato for the price of one kilo», when you are talking about production of goods with the high added-value.
History acknowledges that the art of predicting, knowing something before others will find it out is the way to success. The carrier-pigeon made Rothschild a millionaire, bringing news about Napoleon defeat at Waterloo. Finding out this faster than others, he managed to use properly the valuable information.
