Reception of the Norwegian Embassy in Latvia

In Riga May 16 was held reception the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Latvia on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian Constitution Day
Norwegian Ambassador to Latvia Jan Grevstad congratulated the guests on the occasion of the Constitution Day of Norway, which is celebrated in the country on May 17.
Ambassador Jan Grevstad wished people of Latvia and Norway, prosperity, success and sustainability.

In 1814, the National Assembly at Eidsvoll Constitution was signed that established the freedom and independence of Norway.
More than 400 years, Norway has remained a Danish province, with the adoption of the Constitution entered the union with Sweden, which lasted until 1905.
