Medieval buildings, churches in baroque and classicism
Diplomatic economic club on 12 and 13 November organized a trip for club members on excursion and sightseeing of the Vilnius and held a meeting of the club.
Vilnius is located in the South-East of Lithuania, the capitals guests are attracted to the remains of medieval buildings, churches in baroque and classicism, the city centre, which is listed in the world heritage list of UNESCO.
Accompanied by a guide, the club members got acquainted with the main sights of Vilnius, more learned about the history and prominent personalities in the construction and strengthening of the statehood of Lithuania.
In the beginning of XIV century Grand Duke of Lithuania Gediminas after hunting in the valley of the Holy Horns in a dream he saw a huge iron wolf on a hill. The priest explained to the Prince that the wolf means a castle and a city that here lay the ruler and the city will become the capital of Lithuanian lands. The monument to the founder of the city, Gediminas is in the centre of Vilnius.
Club meeting after the tour, members of the club was adoptedGalina Nacvalova , lawyer in international commercial law.

Members Diplomatic Economic Club congratulated Thomas Castree happy birthday and expressed gratitude for the assistance in organizing excursions and conducting the first meetings of club members in Lithuania.
