Business contacts and gastronomy of taste in the Riga Food 2017 exhibition
On September 6 members of Diplomatic Economic club took part in the most important event in food industry in Baltic countries – opening of the international exhibition Riga Food 2017, which takes place in International Exhibition center in Riga September 6-9.
In the „Riga Food 2017“ exhibition more than 720 companies from Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Georgia, Estonia, Italy, United Kingdom, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Mexico and other countries demonstrated their products and services. More than 35 countries were presented in total.
In 2017, 15 expositions is presented by national stands: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, Georgia, India, Italy, Mexico, Lithuania, Canada, Poland, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Hungary and Latvia.
Quality food products that is produced in Latvia were presented by 24 industrial companies on national joint stand of Latvia.
Visitors of „Riga Food 2017“ can simultaneously try gastronomical goods from all four regions of Latvia – Latgale, Kurzeme, Vidzeme and Zemgale.
Manufactorers of food and masters of food industry took part in the competition of categories – honey, bread, cream and dairy products. The winners were awarded with “Riga Food“ medals.
Young cooks from Latvia on September 7 on the „Riga Food 2017“ exhibition were competing for „Young cook of Latvia“ title.
Club members were watching the Indian and Chinese tea ceremonies, nuances of brewing Korean tea, making tea in Japanese style and also the Latvian and Russian tea party traditions.
From September 6 to Septemer 9 in International Exhibition Center in Riga takes place the 22nd international exhibition of food, beverage, food processing, technologies, packaging, innovations, equipment and catering, hotel and shop services in „Riga Food 2017“.
