Celebration of the 54th Eid Al Etihad of the United Arab Emirates in Riga

2. decembrī Rīgā norisinājās svinīgā pieņemšana, ko par godu valsts svētkiem — 54. Savienības dienai (Eid Al Etihad) — rīkoja Apvienoto Arābu Emirātu vēstniecība Latvijā.

Ar uzrunu klātesošos uzrunāja Apvienoto Arābu Emirātu ārkārtējā un pilnvarotā vēstniece Nūra Mohammeda Džuma (Noora Mohammed Juma). Viņa apsveica viesus svētkos un uzsvēra 1971. gada 2. decembra vēsturisko nozīmi, kad septiņi emirāti apvienojās zem viena karoga, izveidojot vienotu valsti.

Pasākums norisinājās svinīgā gaisotnē Dailes teātra telpās.

Pieņemšanas programmā bija iekļauta bagātīga kultūras daļa:
Muzikālais sveiciens:
Ar solo programmu uzstājās pazīstamais latviešu pianists Andrejs Osokins (Andrejs Osokins).
Jaunie talanti:
Savu meistarību demonstrēja Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas akadēmijas absolventi.
Diplomātiskais koris:
Īpašs vakara mirklis bija kora uzstāšanās, kura sastāvā ir Latvijā akreditētā diplomātiskā korpusa pārstāvji. Viņu izpildījumā skanēja gan latviešu skaņdarbi, gan populāras ārzemju melodijas, radot draudzības un starptautiskas vienotības gaisotni.

Viesiem bija iespēja personīgi apsveikt vēstnieces kundzi un diplomātiskās misijas darbiniekus valsts nacionālajos svētkos.

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
