2007 — 2010 -Commercial Attaché, Austrian Embassy in Latvia
After graduating as Master of Law at Vienna University in 1981, I practised for one year at several courts in Vienna. In 1982 I entered the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Foreign Trade Department, which is in charge of Austria’s commercial representations abroad.
In 1983 I finished my studies, being promoted as Dr. of Law.
From 1985 to 1988 I served in Caracas/Venezuela, after 4 years back in the headquarters I was posted to Beijing/China (1992-1995), then to Spain (Madrid 1995-1996, Barcelona 1996-1999).
This was followed by eight years back in Vienna. In this period I was in charge of our database and involved in all IT-related projects of our department as legal advisor.
July 2007 — 2010 in Riga, in charge of Latvia and Lithuania (and also notified in Estonia).
Married since 1988 with Gabriele, we got twins in the same year. One of them now is an officer cadet in our military academy in Wiener Neustadt, the other one studying political sciences.
Since August 2010 — in Finland, Austrian Embassy

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
