Diplomatic Economic Club^{® Since 1997}

On the 18th June the Diplomatic Club held the annual Golf Tournament amongst the Club members and their families at „Viesturi“ Golf Club course.

On 10th of June the reception of the Russian Embassy was held on the occasion of the National Day of Russia at the residence of the Ambassador of Russian Federation

The Ambassador of Italy in Latvia held a reception on the occasion of Italy’s National Day and the 150th anniversary of unification of the state. The Republic Proclamation Day is one of the most significant state holidays in Italy.

On the 27th of May the Club Members took part in the traditional annual action Plant lilac in the Friendship Avenue. This year 12 new bushes were planted.

Completing his mission in Latvia and moving to the post in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Consul of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Lithuania with residence in Latvia, Aksar Makhmutov held a reception.

On the 19th May, at the invitation of Mottra Executive Board, the Members of Diplomatic Economic Club have visited the caviar processing factory that is located near Riga.

On the 12th May members of the Club visited the group of enterprises of the maritime holding UNIMARS.

On the 6th May the Embassies of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine held a reception to mark the anniversary of the victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.

On May, 5 the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland held a reception on the occasion of the Day of Constitution and the World Day of Polish Community.

On the 5th May the Embassy of Israel in Latvia held a reception in honour of the 63rd Anniversary of Independence of the State of Israel. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Daniel Ayalon delivered a speech at the reception, congratulated everyone on the holiday and wished prosperity to the people of Latvia and Israel.

On the 28th of April in the Blackhead’s House in Riga the Ambassador of the Netherlands in the Republic of Latvia Mr. Jurriaan Kraak and his wife held a reception on the occasion of the national holiday or Queen’s Day which is celebrated on the 30th of April and is believed to be the main holiday in the Netherlands.
